Business, Management, and Administration

One of the jobs studied was a telephone operator. What telephone operators do is provide information by accessing alphabetical, geographical, or other diretories. They also assist customerswith special billing requests, such as charges to a third party and credits or refunds for incorrectly dialed numbers or bad connections. They may handle emergency calls and assist children or people with physical disabilities to make telephone calls. The skills for this job needed is giving full attention to what other poeple are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times. They education required to be a telephone operator is a high school diploma. Another job studied was a Spa Manager. What Spa Managers do is plan, direct, or coordinate, activities of a spa facility. The skills needed to be a Spa Manager is adjusting actions in relation to others' actions. Most of the occupations in this one require training in vocational schools, related on-the-job experience, or an associate's degree.
