This week for out career cluster we were talking about finace and what our two jobs that we picked had incomman and some differences. One of the jobs that i picked was an actuaries and the second one is a loan counsler.One similarity have is the projected growth which is 20% to 28%. Another similarity that they have is the education required and most of these occupations require a four-year bachelor's degree and some of them do not need one. Another similarity is the training. Employees in these occupations usually need several years of work-related experience, on-the-job training, and/or vocational training. One of the differences is the knowlege and a loan counsler has to know the principles and processes for providing customer nees assessment. Another difference is the tools and technology which are auto dialers, calculators, desktop computers, and personal computers.

comparing jobs in government.

This week we have been studing jobs in the government section of jobs. we are suppose to talk about the two that we picked. one of my two jobs is a mapping technician. what they do is calculate mapmaking information from field notes, and also draw and verify accuracy of topographical maps. most of the occupations in this zone require training in vocational schools related on the job experience or an associate's degree. the other job is a radio operator. what they do is Receive and transmit communications using radiotelephone equipment in accordance with government regulations. May repair equipment. Monitor emergency frequencies in order to detect distress calls and respond by dispatching emergency equipment.Communicate with receiving operators in order to exchange transmission instructions. Operate radio equipment in order to communicate with ships, aircraft, mining crews, offshore oil rigs, logging camps and other remote operations.Broadcast weather reports and warnings.Maintain station logs of messages transmitted and received for activities such as flight testing and fire locations. Most occupations in this zone require training in vocational schools, related on-the-job experience, or an associate's degree. Employees in these occupations usually need one or two years of training involving both on-the-job experience and informal training with experienced workers. A recognized apprenticeship program may be associated with these occupations.

Last week we Studied two jobs in the art industry. My two jobs were an art director, and a musician, instramental. what an art director does basically is formulate design concepts and presentation approaches for visual communications media, such as print, broadcasting, and advertising. Employees in these occupations usually need several years of work-related experience, on-the-job training, and/or vocational training. The other job was a musician, instrumental. What they basically do is play one or more musical instruments in recital, in accompaninment, or other musical groups. The employees in this occupation usually need one or two years of training involving both on-the-job experience and informal training with experienced workers.

My true color

Yesterday we found what our true color was. I found out that my True color was blue because i am caring, significant, unique, i contribute, im meaning and i encourage people. I am also authentic. Which basically says that i am true to people that i love and care for which makes me loving.

Blue: Mr. Ogle Orange: Mr. Thomous Gold: Mr. Cox Green:Mrs. Wilson Today we have learned the colors of styles and for the color blue which means fun and coragious and i think Mr. Ogle. Green is Mrs. Wilson because she loves nature and doesnt agree what most people say. Gold is MR. Cox because he sticks to the rules and does his work. Orange is Mr. Thoumas which is the math teacher and he always stays on task and does his work. Blue:Jess Orange:Ally Gold:Mariah Green:savanna Jess is a blue because she loves to help me with stuff and she also makes everyone happy. Ally is orange because she has to get work done on time. Gold is Mariah because she hates to break the rules and loves her family and friends more than anything. Green is Savanna because she loves to try and find new things out about stuff and people in the past and present.

Business, Management, and Administration

One of the jobs studied was a telephone operator. What telephone operators do is provide information by accessing alphabetical, geographical, or other diretories. They also assist customerswith special billing requests, such as charges to a third party and credits or refunds for incorrectly dialed numbers or bad connections. They may handle emergency calls and assist children or people with physical disabilities to make telephone calls. The skills for this job needed is giving full attention to what other poeple are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times. They education required to be a telephone operator is a high school diploma. Another job studied was a Spa Manager. What Spa Managers do is plan, direct, or coordinate, activities of a spa facility. The skills needed to be a Spa Manager is adjusting actions in relation to others' actions. Most of the occupations in this one require training in vocational schools, related on-the-job experience, or an associate's degree.

Learning Styles

My learning style is tactile which means I learn more about stuff when I use my hands. What my style means to me is the more I use my hands to figure something out about some project or assignment I will learn it faster than most kids or adults. I mean there might be some thing that I can do that others cant. This learning style might help me make school and life better for people and children by making hand-held models of stuff for them to learn about what they want on a certain subject like science. This kind of style makes my learning ability alittle harder because there is not that many things that you can touch and feel to learn more about, since there arn't that much stuff you can feel so its harder to learn.

Human Services

I chose two carrers for human services and they were music composers and embalmers. The career that i chose was embalmers because more and more people die in tornado ally every year than any other state in five years. i also chose this job because it will let you meet more people in life and they give greet pay because in the whole world every minute of every day some one dies every one dies at some point maybe sooner than others.

Both of them have some simularities in their work context. They both can help people with their needs and situations. Like technology can help people with their illnesses like cancer or maybe even the messiles. They both can help that because the machines of this time can tell us when they may have got it or if they have it, and sometimes they can even help decide what to use to cure it or they could even cure it by itself. Both of them can even tell us when or where there might be something inportant is happening and give us facts about it.

STEM

STEM is one of the career clusters that match afew of the acedemics at the PCHS website. S.t.e.m is the most used because, it has to do with technology, science, engineering, and math. stem is the most used because later on in the future technology will grow and evey household item in the future will become electronic. The more the tech industry grows the more technology will develope. When technology grows peoples lives and relationships will grow faster and longer with new devices.
